MARCH 2025 CLARION CLOSING DATE – FEBRUARY 22, 2025

Your one week plus a day warning since the closing date comes on Saturday next. I have already spent time this week working on your March issue of the CLARION which historically contains information on Town Meeting in March. Your submissions will be due by 5 PM (Walpole time) Saturday, February 22, a week and a day from now.

You have heard me say, and again I will say, your early submissions are appreciated as I start developing the layout well beforehand. If you have some “news” send it along. In addition, I like to have on-hand material of interest that is not time-sensitive to fill space to round out a pleasing issue. So, if you would “like to be in print” and have something to write and share (images as well), send along for possible inclusion space permitting. Please do remember, it is the advertisers in each issue that make this community publication possible, so please support and thank them.

If you have any questions, or interest in placing an advertisement, reaching over 1900 Walpole, North Walpole and Drewsville addresses, I welcome your inquiries, so please do get in touch with me. Advertising information and contact information is on the CLARION website.

Thank you, RAY BOAS, Publisher

JANUARY 2025 CLARION CLOSING DATE — DECEMBER 20, 2024

Time to get ready for the holidays, but hopefully you can fit in getting your CLARION submissions in by 5 PM (Walpole time) on Friday, December 20, a week from now. A difficult month for timing with both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve on Wednesdays. The way Christmas falls impacts my printer’s holiday production schedule, as do the postal holidays. Your January issue will hopefully be in the mail by the end of the month, but I will be publishing January 2025 on the CLARION website on December 30. If you have never seen the on-line issue, you may enjoy seeing it in full-color, something I have been able to do now for almost a year.

Your early submissions are always welcome and appreciated as I start developing the layout well beforehand. If you have some “news” send it along. In addition, I like to have on-hand material of interest that is not time-sensitive to fill space to round out a pleasing issue. So, if you would “like to be in print” and have something to write and share (images as well), send along for possible inclusion space permitting. DECEMBER 2024 CLARION – CLOSING DATE NOVEMBER 20

A week away, and a tad earlier deadline than usual, but prompted by the Thanksgiving holiday you are getting busy for, and also my printer’s holiday schedule. I negotiate the printing cycle a year ahead with them so the hardcopies are in the mail to be received by the first of the month.

Long way of saying that for the next issue of your CLARION, the closing date for the DECEMBER 2024 issue is 5 pm Walpole time, Wednesday, November 20 – yes the 20th.  As always, the earlier the better – as of this writing I have a good number of pages full including Nature of Walpole, and a long overdue “Did You Know That…”. Submission guidelines, and contact email are on the CLARION website.

NOVEMBER 2024 CLARION — NOW ON-LINE

And, remember, on-line your CLARION is in full color. Twenty pages again this month, including a Sample Ballot for the election on Tuesday, November 5. At the post offices, your hardcopy of the CLARION should be delivered to you on the 30th.

Did I say Turkey? Well, do enjoy this issue with much on this bird which, as myth goes (only a myth) Benjamin Franklin wanted to be the new nation’s national bird. The Bald Eagle won out, but please read and share the role Walpole played in New Hampshire’s Turkey population.
