MARCH 2022 CLARION – CLOSING DATE – FEBRUARY 21

In case you would like something to think about during this evening’s game and festivities — it is time again for submissions for the next issue of THE WALPOLE CLARION – due a tad over a week away – Monday, February 21. I already have some submissions in and placed for this, the “election issue,” as we approach Town Meeting time. In the March issue, at a minimum you will want to read about the school budget’s impact on our property taxes. On a brighter side, you will learn much about Bald Eagles that are repopulating our area and now often seen.

So, do not delay, and if you have any questions, please contact me. Likewise, new or return advertisers are welcome to contact me as well.

Possibly we are on the other side of the pandemic, but even with shots, masks and distancing – I for one am still erring on the side of extra caution. Stay safe and stay well, Yours, RAY BOAS, Publisher

FEBRUARY 2022 CLARION — NOW ON-LINE

The CLARION’s printer was a tad ahead this month, thus you will receive you hard copy of the CLARION a tad sooner, and I have also posted it now, also a tad sooner.

Please note that as this issue was on the presses, it was necessary for the Town to change the date for the budget hearing as seen on page one of printed February issue — the new date is February 9 as seen on the on-line version. The annual budget hearing is part of the annual Town Meeting process, and you should plan to attend. Full ZOOM details will be posted on the Town website. Also, please note – Where you see February 10 also on page 2, it should be February 9; and Voting Day is Tuesday, March 8, not Tuesday the 9th (that was another year)

To read on-line, click this link, or on Page One below

FEBRUARY 2022 CLARION — CLOSING DATE — JANUARY 21

Another month has sped by, and the closing date for the February CLARION is just a tad over a week away, Friday, January 21. Thought I would give you an extra day, so you could work on your submissions while trying to stay warm as the next cold spell arrives.

I have received a few articles already, and Eloise continues to provide fascinating pieces. Her February, “The Nature of Walpole” is a great read and learning experience. I have another “first in Walpole” to share for my history article, “Did You Know That…” and other pieces are in the works. And “thank you” notes are in to be shared with our giving community.

COVID and OMICRON still raise questions impacting future events, and meetings have returned to at home ZOOM on-screen interactions. But you may still have organizational or personal news to share, so do get your inputs in to me as soon as possible- the earlier before the deadline the better, and always best for our layout work. And, if you something you would like to share in an advertisement – do contact me.

Stay safe and stay well – shots, masks and distancing – I for one am erring on the side of extra caution. Yours, RAY BOAS, Publisher
