FEBRUARY 2024 CLARION – NOW ON-LINE

And will be at the Post Offices on Monday 29 January (weather depending) to be delivered to you at home. I hope you do take a look at my Publisher’s Corner writings on the second to the last page each month. This month you will see my apology for an issue of just 12 pages, and the reasons why – lack of activities past and present to report upon, and limited advertisers that make your CLARION possible. But still a packed and varied and balanced edition, so please do enjoy.

FEBRUARY 2024 CLARION – CLOSING DATE JANUARY 21

Upon us again, and I have started putting together the next issue of THE WALPOLE CLARION for you. You may not realize the work and time that goes into assembling the articles, images and advertisements – it is a long process, and you can help with your early submissions. The closing date for the February issue is in a week – 5PM Walpole time, Sunday, January 21.  Submission guidelines, and contact email are on the CLARION website.

Space is often tight, and is costly in production, so your early submissions help in the process of including all important material in a pleasing manner on each page. It is the advertisers in each issue that make this community publication possible, so please support and thank them. If you are interested in “joining in,” do contact me.

If you have any questions, or interest in placing an advertisement, reaching over 1900 Walpole, North Walpole and Drewsville addresses, I welcome your inquiries, so please do get in touch with me. Advertising information and contact information is on the CLARION website.

Thank you, RAY BOAS, Publisher

REMINDER — JANUARY 2024 CLARION — CLOSING DATE APPROACHES

I have been working this weekend on your January 2024 issue of THE WALPOLE CLARION. There is still some space remaining, so if you have upcoming activities to share, and possibly a report on what has recently happened, send something along for consideration.

In negotiating with my printer, and their holiday schedule, I can still accept your inputs for possible inclusion in the next issue, BUT I would need to have submissions by mid to late afternoon WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 20.

Space still for advertisements as well, and remember I always acknowledge your submissions by email to rayboas@comcast.net

Thank you, RAY BOAS, Publisher

All subject to space, of course, space that is made possible by the CLARION’s supporting advertisers. We all owe them a big “thank you.”

DUNKIN DEBATE DELAYED to DECEMBER

The scheduled November 14 Planning Board Public Hearing on the site plan for 1815 square foot Dunkin Donuts at the intersection of Route 12 and Upper Walpole Road has been delayed until December.

The agenda for the November 14 meeting states, “since Dunkin has no new information from NHDOT, they decided to wait to come in in December.” This is yet another continuation in the multi-year review of this proposed project, now from the October 2023 meeting.

Any new details will be reported in your December issue of THE WALPOLE CLARION
